What is the Difference Between Post and Pages
As a beginner, you might think Post and Pages looks very similar and they might have a same function. But when you see them very carefully, you will find out difference between post and pages.
Characteristic Of Post
Dynamic: Post are dynamic, they are generally in descending order (You can also change it to ascending order). In Other word post are either date driven, or are in some ordered.
Organizing: In Blog-spot or wordpress, post are organized by category, tags.
Archiving: Archived by several factors like date, author etc.
RSS Feed: Post are included In RSS Feed
Example use: Blog Posts, Stories, Updates, Time sensitive and date sensitive content.
Characteristic Of Pages
Dynamic: Whereas Pages are static in Content Management System (CMS).
Organizing: No Category or Tag
Archiving: Because pages are not dynamic, they don’t change.
RSS Feed: Pages are not included in RSS Feeds
Example use: Static page like Home, Contact information, About Us page and so on which are not time or date sensitive.
